Family Leadership at Q2L
The Quest to Learn Parent Teacher Association (PTA), Title I Parent Advisory Committee ( TIPAC), and School Leadership Team (STL) works to ensure that the community at Quest to Learn is equitable and collaborative. As a community, we celebrate learning by doing and seek to build a school rich with creative, performance-task learning opportunities.
The PTA engages Q2L families to advance the aspirations of the teachers and students. The TIPAC works closely with the School Leadership Team and the PTA to support all families and students, laying a foundation for academic success. The SLT helps to further the school's mission and vision by developing the school's Comprehensive Educational Plan (CEP).
Quest families are invited to participate in all three leadership bodies, which depend on volunteers to provide energy, voice and leadership.

Q2L PTA 2023-24
PTA meetings are held monthly on the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30 via Zoom. Please follow the Q2L calendar for specific meeting information.

Q2L School Leadership Team 2023-24:
The Q2L School Leadership Team (SLT) helps foster collaborative decision-making across all stakeholders: students, guardians/parents, administration, UFT, DC3, and community-based organizations (CBOs). The SLT develops and reviews the school's Comprehensive Education Plan (CEP), aligns the budget, and monitors whether the needs of students are being addressed throughout the year.
The SLT family delegation consists of the PTA or delegate, Title I PAC Chair or delegate, and three elected guardian/parent representatives.
SLT meetings are held monthly. If you are a guardian or parent, you are welcomed to attend SLT meetings as non-participating observers. If you have a question or concern you want to address during a SLT meeting, please submit it in writing prior to to the meeting and request that it be added to the agenda.

Q2L Title I Parent Advisory Committee 2023-24:
As a Title I School, Q2L receives funds from the government that are used to benefit the community as a whole. The Title I Parent Advisory Committee (TIPAC) is charged with helping to ensure that all families have the opportunity to engage with the school community; assess the resources that would benefit families; and determine how best to spend a portion of Title I funds on family engagement.
TIPAC meetings takes place immediately following PTA meetings.
