Kathy's Corner

The Workshop Series are in Partnership with Fordham University. The workshops are held monthly on Wednesdays from 5:30-6:30PM via Zoom. The next workshop is on November 8th, 2023. The topic that will be discussed is "Recognizing and Responding to Sign of Vaping & Substance Abuse."

 

 

The annual program is now open for families to apply. The program aims to assist needy families by connecting them with sponsors who will provide tangible gifts for the holiday season. Hudson Guild opens this program up to everyone in the community and it has been a huge success and has helped many families in the past. 

 

To apply, please fill out the form below for each family. We have sponsors for over 200 families, with the possibility of more. Slots will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis, so please submit your application before the deadline on end of business day, November 1st.

 

Hudson Guild Adopt a Family program link  for anyone who might be interested in applying for the program or need help to fill out the application. Please note that incomplete applications will not be matched with sponsors. All applications can be translated into Spanish.

 

New York University's College and Career Lab (CCL), an exciting free non-credit Summer and yearlong Exploratory Stage for rising 8th and 9th graders (current 7th and 8th graders) who attend school in NYC. Students will participate in college-level introductory courses, engage in interactive activities and games and practice skill-building exercises designed to discover their passions. Students are grouped with CCL advisors who facilitate college and career exploration, mentorship and continued soft skill development throughout the Summer and subsequent academic year.
 
What is College and Career Lab?
  • Six-year program beginning the Summer before 8th grade through Summer after high school graduation with academic year workshop throughout the Fall and Spring semesters.
  • College-level introductory courses led by faculty, administrators, and staff from NYU schools and departments.
  • Experiential learning opportunities led by industry professionals and NYU alumni
  • Unique skill-based, grade level appropriate curriculum led by CCL staff and advisors
