2023 AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award

Dear Colleague,

Congratulations! Your school, Quest To Learn, has earned the College Board's AP® Computer Science Female Diversity Award for expanding young women’s access to AP Computer Science Principles (CSP). This award acknowledges 1,127 schools for their work toward equal gender representation during the 2022-23 school year. Yours is one of only 834 schools to be recognized for achieving this important result in AP CSP.

This honor recognizes the outstanding work your school is doing to engage more female students in computer science. Official award certificates to celebrate these achievements will arrive at your school soon. In the meantime, you can download two versions of each award badge to feature on your school's website or in other school communications. We encourage you to share this accomplishment by using the press release template and sample tweets (.docx/36 KB). For support with distribution, please contact College Board at communications@collegeboard.org.

Research shows that female students who take AP computer science are more likely to major in computer science in college compared with matched peers. Through your leadership in diversifying computer science education, you’re preparing your female students for the in-demand jobs of the future and giving them the opportunity to help solve some of society's most challenging problems. Visit our website for additional strategies for recruiting female students into computer science courses.

Again, congratulations. Thank you for your commitment to expanding access to computer science education.

Sincerely,

Advanced Placement Program
