Congratulations to all three Middle School Basketball teams on making the playoffs!
The Middle School Boys Varsity Basketball team experienced their best season in the school’s history during the 2015-2016 school year with a regular season record of 8-3. Since the very first day of the season, the boys were determined to come to practice every day with a focused mindset to work hard and make it to the playoffs. We finished second in the division and played an extremely intense playoff game and despite facing double digit deficits throughout the game, the boys played with tremendous grit, toughness, and heart to fight back in the game until the very end. That same toughness and determination was evident the whole season through their hard work and effort.
What a season it was for the Quest Varsity Girls Basketball team! The girls finished with a 9-3 record. After losing their first game of the season, they went on an amazing eight game winning streak highlighted by team defense and clutch shooting! The main highlight of the season was a 50-34 win over IS289 in what was Quest’s first ever hosted playoff game! The girls were extremely committed to perfecting their zone defense and implementing offensive plays that led to high scoring throughout the year! Dedication and team chemistry helped build this team into a winner from the start. The girls practiced rigorously three days a week and built a bond with each other that should last a lifetime! Congratulations to the Quest Varsity Girls Basketball Team!
The Middle School Boys Junior Varsity team had a great record of regular season games. The boys made it to the first round of playoffs losing to City Knoll by one point. This year JV Basketball showed potential, but struggled with consistency. The team was comprised of all 6th graders and a few 7th graders. We’ve had some exciting close games as well as disappointing efforts, but did improve upon last year’s 1 victory season. The team will continue to work hard to strive towards their goals!
